Special tour with the curator Angie Åström

Tickets at Piletilevi
Fotografiska’s new exhibition The legendary series by Anders Petersen from Café Lehmitz is as relevant today as when the pictures were taken during the late ’60s. Taken by a young Swedish man, escaping his complicated childhood and adolescence, and longing for connection – always looking for a father figure and a belonging beyond class and barriers.
At the special tour Angie Åström will introduce you to the stories behind the exhibition “Color Lehmitz” and open up what it’s like working as a curator for the grand old man of photography.
Angie Åström curated Anders Petersen´s exhibition “Color Lehmitz” that celebrates the famous series taken 50 years ago with some unseen additions and insight to Petersen’s work process. She has collaborated in art projects in Sweden and abroad with institutes and establishments such as Fotografiska, Liljevalchs, Viktoria Art Gallery and The Nobel Prize.
Angie’s inspiring thoughts sum up the essence of art and how we experience it: “I don’t have a model of what makes masterful art or exhibitions. It’s all about meeting people and seeing things, outside the art world. I mean the audience can be anyone and everybody is welcome.”
☑️ The tour is in English and lasts for about 1 hour.
☑️ Places are limited so we suggest getting your ticket in advance.
