Luke Howard’s concert for piano and violin is one more gem to the collection of intelligent music lover. Luke Howard works with Mercury KX label which united the artists like Olafur Arnalds, Tom Hodge, Solomon Grey, Sebastian Plano, Lambert, and Anatole.
Luke studied classical piano before graduating with honors from the Victorian College of the Arts. Twice a finalist in the Montreux Jazz Festival Solo Piano Competition, he has shared the stage and recording studio with many musicians in his career, including Ben Frost, the Grigoryan Brothers, and Lior. He is the recipient of both the 2012 APRA/AMCOS award for Australian Jazz Song of the Year and the 2014 APRA/AMCOS Screen Music Award for Best Music for a Short Film. Luke has worked as a session musician, playing on well over fifty recordings, as well as a composer for film and theatre. His music has been described as “totally sublime” (Headphone Commute), “absolutely heavenly” (Mary Anne Hobbs), and “cinematic in its approach” (The Age).
