Anders Eismann (VR simulation of percussions, VR Lounge, Art of Gaming)
Estonian young percussion virtuosos compete on real and VR simulation instruments. There are both virtual and real drummer, virtual and real marimba on the stage. The duo is featured by a synthesizer player, the student from the Sibelius Academy of Technology.
Musicians interchange their instruments and present the new arrangements of music works of two extremes – highly technically virtuosic or melodic music. The programme includes both well-known pieces (“Flight of the Bumblebee”, by Rimsky-Korsakov, “Vocalise” by Rachmaninov, Prelude in E-minor by Chopin), as well as exciting contemporary percussion works by Reich, Psathas, Ligeti and others. The concert is a real battle of percussion instruments culminating with a joint performance of “Bolero” by Ravel.
