ZUGA’s new production ‘2 + 2 = 22′ bores into rules and regulations, the seen and unseen arrangements in our shared lives as children and parents. The performance throws these arrangements around, sneaks aside and steps away, doesn’t offer the seat or sits on two chairs at once, yet invites to stand next to it and look for one’s own place. There is an effort to arrive at a destination, even if it is accompanied with a shout ‘Appropriate!’.
United dancers of ZUGA is a collective of dancers and choreographers that was created in year 1999 by then young and active dance-makers Tiina Mölder, Kaja Kann and Jarmo Karing. ZUGA United Dancers is the only company in Estonia that has consistently and regularly been producing dance performances for children. For ZUGA, children and adults are equal partners sharing the world and the room in which they live. Their performances have been awarded in the fields of dance and theatre. ZUGA’s children performances have been touring in Estonia and abroad (Finland, USA, Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Nederland, Palestine, Sweden, Russia, Romania, Croatia, Poland, Great Britain, China).
