This year’s TEDxTallinn is entitled “Kõgõkogo” – a beautiful Võru word that encompasses space and the universe. Everything is everything. But for us, space is not something distant and unattainable – it is just as much within us, we are even stardust after all. It is this space full of paradoxes where ideas are born, questions arise and thoughts collide. “Kõgõkogo” is the courage to look into the universe, to look further, but also to think deeper.
One day, on one stage, we will bring together technology, education and design – as is typical of TEDx – and add everything that fits under the universe: science, creativity, the inner world of a person, relationships, the power of silence. We do not offer ready-made answers, but seeds that can germinate exactly where you least expect them. Everyone will find something here: a thought that will haunt you; a perspective that will change the course.
As a special bonus, this year’s speakers will also include artists from Fotografiska’s major exhibition “SPACE – a visual journey”: Brooke Holm, Mikael Owunna, Cecilia Ömalm and Göran Östlin, who will discuss art, space and the future of humanity. We will soon introduce other speakers one by one – there will be plenty of inspiring ideas to be heard!
It is no coincidence that we are meeting on All Souls’ Day – a time when the boundaries between the visible and the invisible seem to blur. “Kõgõkogo” invites you to let your thoughts wander to places that you cannot reach every day. Sometimes the greatest discovery is made when you simply let yourself think.
Buy a ticket, mark your calendar and come to Fotografiska on the morning of November 2. We will take care of everything else.
