The international student poster exhibition of the Goethe-Institut is the result of a competition that asked students to create original artworks that emphasize the inclusivity of cycling and the importance of sustainable urban mobility.
The current exhibition features a selection of the best works of art and aims to highlight the joy of cycling, its positive impact on our environment and health, and its role in promoting European unity through cultural activities. The European Peace Ride (EPR), a cycling event connecting the countries of Central Europe, is a partner in this initiative and one of the winning posters will be used to promote EPR activities.
The exhibition can be visited in the outdoor area of the Telliskivi Creative City in Tallinn from 31 August to 13 October.
CYCLE UP! connects artists, decision-makers, and communities who care about our climate to find creative ideas and solutions to bring more bicycles to our streets. We develop artistic perspectives on cycling, through residency programmes for artists, community workshops and conferences with local decision makers. We use arts and culture to advocate for better bicycle infrastructure and develop cycling cultures in Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia, and Estonia. UP! is co- funded by the European Union.
