Sotsiaalse Innovatsiooni Labor / SiLab

SOCIAL INNOVATION LABORATORY designs and manages public sector innovation, co-creation and engagement processes to help find innovative and practical solutions to societal and community problems.

Co-creation is a particularly effective approach to solving complex, multifaceted problems that are influenced by different parties and require innovation and skilled collaboration to solve.

Societal challenges. Co-creation can help find solutions to complex societal problems, whether it is social isolation, mental health or youth school dropout. In such problems, it is important to involve all parties – the public sector, private companies, civic associations, researchers and citizens – to find solutions that are acceptable to everyone.

Collaborative challenges. Co-creation is an effective approach to problems that affect several different sectors, areas and levels of management at once, where finding a solution requires coordination and cooperation of many parties.

Innovation and service design. Co-creation is an important tool for innovation design and the creation of new services that meet customer needs and expectations, as customers and other important parties are directly involved in the service development process.

Organizational problems. Co-creation can solve many organizational problems, such as low employee engagement, poor communication between different departments, or conflicts between organizational strategy and culture.
