At first there was nothing. Then Tõnis and Mariliis met in the graphic design department of the Estonian Academy of Arts and love is what happened. They had a baby boy. And with him Dadamora was born. The world of children’s clothing immediately became a bit more beautiful place. And when the second child was born, the beauty doubled.
Dadamora’s style is minimalistic and timeless, but at the same time also cute and playful. Well, who wouldn’t be moved by pictures of a tiger boy with longing eyes or the world’s most friendliest penguin? Countless animals have appeared in Dadamora’s collections and new animals are created every season. The visions of the animals often come first into the heads of Oskar and Linda, the children of Tõnis and Mariliis.
Despite the different prints and colors, Dadamora’s clothes all match well together and are unisex. They sustain well too! As only finest quality fabrics are used, the longevity of items even after several washes and several wearers is ensured. “Dadamora’s clothes are rumored to be hot stuff at the second hand markets as they really last well,” Mariliis laughs.
It is immensely important to Tõnis and Mariliis where and by whom their products are made. Only high quality Estonian organic cotton fabric is used, the products are sewn in Estonia and the pictures printed in silkscreen by hand.
Dadamora’s family agrees with Vivienne Westwood’s golden words: “Buy less, choose well!” And of course, eat vegetables and care for the animals! The world is a million times better place like that.
