Estonian Theatre Agency

Foundation Estonian Theatre Agency started on 1st of January 2008 and was created by the Estonian Theatre Union and Estonian Association of Performing Arts Institutions.

Agency is dealing with copyright issues of plays, developing Estonian playwriting, gathering and distributing theatre information, introducing Estonian theatre abroad and collecting and publishing of Estonian theatre statistics. They are also organizing playwriting competitions which started in 1995 and subscribing translations of Estonian original plays.

The second area of action for the Estonian Theatre Agency is gathering and distributing theatre information. The purpose is to introduce world theatre for Estonian theatre professionals and Estonian theatre to the world. As well, Estonian Theatre Agency annualy runs Estonian performing arts showcase draamamaa.weekend, which is a special festival for foreign theatre managers, curators and producers.
